The Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP) has been a beacon for those intrigued by the mysteries of the paranormal and the unexplained. From ghostly encounters to UFO sightings, fortean encounters, psychic phenomena to cryptid lore, ASSAP has long championed rigorous inquiry into the anomalous. In 2025, our small but mighty two-person webinar team has achieved something extraordinary: producing high-quality, polished, and stylized presentations that bring together researchers, enthusiasts, and academics from across the paranormal spectrum. Available LIVE for our Members every Thursday 7pm (UK-Time) as they happen and are generally made available for free on YouTube, Spotify, Rumble, and major podcasting platforms. These talks, panels, and conversations are designed to captivate, educate, and push the boundaries of what we believe is possible.

A Labour of Passion and Precision

What makes this series exceptional is the dedication behind it. Curating an eclectic lineup of guests—ranging from seasoned paranormal investigators, enthusiasts, knowledgeable individuals, to academics—to hosting engaging discussions that spark curiosity. Each presentation is then crafted, blending production with a stylized aesthetic that makes complex topics accessible and visually compelling. This is no small feat for a lean operation, and it’s a testament to ASSAP’s commitment to fostering open dialogue about the anomalous in a way that’s inclusive and thought-provoking. Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to create content that not only informs but also inspires. Whether you’re a skeptic, a believer, or somewhere in between, these presentations offer something for everyone—rigorous research, firsthand accounts, and bold ideas that challenge conventional thinking. We’re inviting a global audience to join the conversation and explore the unexplained with us.

 Why This Series Stands Out

In an era where paranormal content can often feel sensationalised or repetitive, ASSAP’s Seriously Strange series stands apart. Avoiding sensationalism, focusing instead on substantive discussions that blend accessibility with some seriousness. Each episode dives deep into niche topics, from the psychology of hauntings to the physics of anomalous lights, while maintaining an approachable tone. Our guests bring diverse perspectives, ensuring that no two discussions are alike. Whether it’s dissecting the cultural impact of urban legends around Lucys Tomb or a talk on the latest in parapsychological research. Past Life Regression to value of recording high-quality sensor data, balancing academic rigour with the thrill of the unknown. Providing a platform that allows those researchers and enthusiasts to take the stage. Sharing dynamic ideas and taking questions from those most seasoned in those fields. By February Caroline as Webinar manager had a nearly full schedule right up deep into August.

The production quality is another hallmark. Kristian has put a focus on polished editing, accessible, clean visuals, and attempted to bring good audio, transforming raw conversations into dynamic presentations that hold viewers’ attention. This commitment to excellence ensures that our content isn’t just informative—it’s an experience.
