Returning after a two-year hiatus, the ASSAP Conference 2026: 45 Years brought together researchers, academics, and enthusiasts for an accessible weekend of cutting-edge anomalous research. Proceedings kicked off on Friday with exclusive hire of The Commandery for a historic and ghost tour by resident editor Bjorn Licht. The formal weekend itinerary featured a state-of-the-ASSAP address by Chair Steve Parsons, followed by diverse Saturday presentations covering Fortean aerial phenomena by Dr. Mike Benbough-Jackson, historic protective markings by Brian Hoggard, European folklore by Dr. Ann Winsper, British dragon lore by Deborah Hyde, The Knights Tales by Luke Knight, the Dodleston messages by Dr. Paul Rogers, and parallel realities by ASSAP President Rev. Lionel Fanthorpe. Saturday concluded with a lively panel discussion alongside Dr. Mark Fox and Dr. Kate Cherrell, followed by a gala dinner and an evening of entertainment.

Sunday's schedule offered equally compelling insights, opening with Kristian Lander on the Wollaton Hall Gnomes, Joanna Walpole on the history of Chingle Hall, Dr. Kate Cherrell on the Binbrook Witch House, and a book launch by Karin Beasant and Lisa Dolman on venue research ethics. Afternoon sessions showcased scientific logging standards by SCIRE Andy Guy, Road Ghosts and announcing book release by Prof. Rob Gandy, Anomalies in Clapham Woods by Governance Officer Sarah Pilkington, and literary occultism by Dr. Luke Devine and Casey Maeve—celebrating strong academic diversity and inclusive research.
